One of the DMV’s brightest, brashest, and stylish artists delivers her new sophomore EP in partnership with SoundCloud.
Kelow LaTesha is a one-of-a-kind, genre-defying artist. Her presence has been felt for the past decade as one of the most important voices out of the evolving DMV music scene. From the beginning, her dedication and constant calculated risks have rewarded her with a spot that she herself occupies on her own. It has all lead the PG County, Maryland native to appear notably on tracks over the years, like when she provided a prayer to conclude Goldlink’s 2017 album At What Cost.
Her debut EP, TSA came out in 2020, containing 12 tracks. Standouts on this project were “Prada Me”, “Backseat”, “PowerPuff Girls” with Rico Nasty and LightSkinKeisha, “Mercedes”, and “Call Security.” The release of TSA had folks calling Kelow one the DMV’s best secrets, with her energetic style of boast-heavy bars presented in it’s most concise form to date.
About her newest EP, TURBO, Kelow LaTesha has said “Creating TURBO, I constantly found myself in a perspective where I had to turn up from such a low position, but I literally couldn’t think any other way to go than up…each record recorded has a lot of energy, A LOT OF JOY, and was a good time to create. I want each listener to take these pieces of me as a pick me up and motivation to go turbo.”
