Searching for a certified pop bop with a relatable message? Look no further than Natalie Carr’s “Wasted Potential.” About the song, Natalie recently mentioned in an Instagram story post that she “wrote this song for everyone who is done living to please other people”, and in a TikTok video she further explains why she penned the track: “It’s about not caring about people’s expectations.”

Carr released her previous single “Blood Blind” featuring RILEY back in May. Since its debut, the clip has collected over 33k views and counting.

“I’m high on all my wasted potential. I cry when I see teachers from high school.” – Natalie Carr

“Wasted Potential” is produced by John “J-Mac” McCall, and the music video is directed and edited by John Rob Thomas. This visual is compelling for a number of reasons: the use of film cameras, the changes in locations and looks, and how outstanding and insatiable Natalie Carr appears throughout.
