It comes as no surprise that there is shade being thrown by worldwide known artists Kanye West and Drake. With Kanye West releasing his highly anticipated album DONDA last Sunday, Drake released the potential cover art and guaranteed release date for his fourth coming album CLB(Certified Lover Boy) just a day after, which will release on Friday, September 3rd. The beef between Kanye West and Drake dates all the way back to late 2017/early 2018 with Pusha T exposing Drake as a so called “deadbeat,” and keeping his son in hiding.
To reignite this beef, Kanye West put up DONDA billboards in Toronto promoting the album, the hometown of Drake where he also put billboards up for his upcoming album. Drake also sent shots to Kanye directly on Trippie Redd’s single Betrayal, where he said
“All these fools I’m beefin’ that I barely know
Forty-five, forty-four, let it go
Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone.”
The Kanye West and Drake beef is back and is more interesting than ever, with fans receiving highly anticipated albums in less than a week. The question is: Who will come out on top with more album sales and who will become #1 when it’s all said and done?
