Sprite Lee made his fans wait for his long awaited album, Super 8, but it definitely lived up to the hype surrounding it. The album itself is a masterpiece with no skip songs. Sprite Lee’s production has improved tremendously since the last round of music he released. The only feature is from his buddy, Lil Skies who he has worked with multiple times in the past. The listener can tell Sprite Lee worked really hard on this album and took his time with each song getting it to sound exactly as he pictured it. Some of the producers on the tape incluse Based1, Menoh, and other beatmakers on the rise in the industry which brought the production to the next level.
Sprite Lee’s flows throughout the tape are so one of a kind; they are like nothing you have ever heard before. He kills the chorus on his song with Lil Skies titled “Checkmate”, along with the hook on “Hollywood Coochie”. The song “Lean Cuisine” is definitely a banger, but it sounds like the crew behind the song used the same sample as the famous song “Oh Okay.” While I really like the song by Sprite Lee, it is hard to outrap Gunna, Thug, and Baby on a similar beat and using the same sample is just asking for comparison.
Other than that, I am truly impressed with the work Sprite Lee put in and the content he put out. I am ready to see what is more to come from the artist as I see him being around in the music industry for a long time.
