Houston’s KAM-ALYN Displays Infectious Charisma on New Album “Fritz Carlton”

Houston’s KAM-ALYN is a true artist that expresses himself in a diverse range of art forms. From song-writing, rapping, co-producing, mixing and mastering, to directing music videos and photo shoots, KAM-ALYN plays a huge role in his creative process from start to finish. Taking an interest in cinematography due to his father’s indulgence as a director and writer, KAM-ALYN remains hands-on in every visual aspect of his career. His love for storytelling runs deep, and is partly the reason behind his adoration for the art of emceeing. His mother took an interest in emceeing before his birth, which laid the foundation for his passion for rapping.

KAM-ALYN is Houston to the core. The city and its culture is embedded in his brand image and livelihood. He’s cultivated an energy in Houston surrounding his name and music for the past 14 years, allowing him to throw a successful, first-ever album release party in the heart of Houston. Surrounded by love from family, friends, and supporters, KAM-ALYN celebrated the release of his best work to date, “Fritz Carlton.”

“Fritz Carlton” is a 12-track project detailing KAM-ALYN’s lifestyle using southern flair, elements of NYC-style production, and West Coast bounce. With tracks like “Mint Condition” KAM-ALYN remains focused, understanding he’s destined for a greater purpose. He’s on his grind. And no one is stopping him. “Selling Lows,” “Addmit,” and “More Love 4 Me” take a slower approach compared to KAM-ALYN’s gritty mic presence on previous songs, but this is where he shines best. His signature melodic, rapper-singer flow feels both calming and cooling, reminding us to cut distractions, remember why we started, and know when and how to move in the midst of motion.

“Step Outside” is the second music video for the world that is “Fritz Carlton.” With KAM-ALYN’s creative mind behind the video creation process, the music video continues to generate more looks, hitting almost 500 views in just 5 days. The song details how KAM-ALYN not only persuades himself but his audience, to take a break from social media, disconnect, and reconnect with the outside. He kindly reminds us that life exists beyond our 6-inch phone screens and we should take a second to enjoy the outside world. Go to a park. Read a book. Meet someone new. Connect with nature. Just step outside.
