Tony Shhnow is set on evolving as an artist. The ATL native is known for his hustle-mentality-filled lyricism, mixed with a rested sense of humor. He carries an “eat, sleep, and rap” work ethic, allowing him to release multiple projects every year.
In 2022 Tony Shhnow released two full length bodies of work – Reflexions and Plug Motivation. About these two projects, Tony said in a recent interview with okayplayer.com, that they represent a shift in his rapping. The latter was released November 11th and features 23 tracks, including “World On My Back” produced by POLOBOYSHAWTY.
The music video for “World On My Back” came days after the album’s unveiling and is shot and directed by Sebastian Beltran. It features differing color schemes, editing styles, and even VHS-screen effects. On the song, Tony Shhnow sounds as confident as ever, speaking up for the underdogs while displaying a level of vulnerability we haven’t witnessed before. All of this speaks to Tony’s growth in such a short period and where his mentality is right now while in the rap game.
It’s clear that’s the Shhnowman is set on continuing to evolve as a person and as an artist. He wants to be the best in the game because that’s how he already feels. Listening to his music should make you feel the same. We can’t wait to see what the ‘PluggStar’ has in store for 2023.
