Eight months later, Atlanta-based artist SoFaygo finally released his highly anticipated single “Let’s Lose Our Minds,” which is produced by @skai0.
The song was first teased back in January on both Faygo’s Instagram(now archived) as well as his Twitter. The snippet went viral after known artists like Trippie Redd and Travis Scott started co-signing Faygo by posting his songs on their Instagram story as well as putting family-friends into his music. The snippet has amassed 94.6k views on Twitter alone, reaching a lot more people than anticipated. The snippet on Instagram at the time of being out, amassed over 100k total likes and amassed over 1,000,000 views.
This would be Faygo’s first release since being featured on Trippie Redd’s album on the track “MP5.” This would also be his first individual release in 2021, following up his late 2020 album “After Me,” which ultimately helped him to this point. The dreamy production in the beginning transitions to heavy hitting kicks and bouncy 808’s which sets the tone for the rest of the track. His ability to stretch his vocals and sing is something incredible. From when I first started listening to him, I couldn’t help but say he was the “SoundCloud Chris Brown,” the way he can really sing.
The wait really paid off for Faygo as he’s been signed to Travis Scott’s “Cactus Jack Records,” as well as getting to open up for Trippie Redd on his “Trip at Knight,” tour. Sofaygo also got his first entry on the Billboard Top 100 this week as a feature on Trippie Redd’s song from his album called “MP5.” It’s no doubt Sofaygo is on his way to the top. Having 5.5 Million monthly listeners on Spotify alone and 632k followers on Instagram, it seems as though the crowd is finally catching on.
