Lil’ Tecca is one of the youngest voices in the underground rap scene today, and many days of anticipation have led us to the release of his newest offering, “We Love You Tecca 2.” He returns to the mic with new hypnotizing hooks and catchy flows after performing at two festivals earlier this year: Rolling Loud – Miami and Lyrical Lemonade – Summer Smash. The album title is fitting for the arrangement of songs because the phrase is also Tecca’s beat tag. One the most notable beats he made with the tag was the instrumental for SoFaygo’s song “Knock Knock.” Prior to the release of this album, Tecca’s team green-lit a promotional single called “Repeat It” nearly one month ago. Then, the project officially dropped on August 27th, 2021, one day after Tecca’s 19th birthday.
The cover art features a drawing of Tecca standing on a globe that that is halfway submerged in a body of water; meanwhile a cloudy sunset makes the background of the picture. One significant difference between We Love You Tecca 1 and We Love You Tecca 2 is the amount of features on each project. WLYT 1 has no features and still ended up going platinum. On the contrary, WLYT 2 boasts a solid team of features including Chief Keef, Trippie Redd, Nav , Iann Dior, and Lil’ Yachty. Only time will tell if this sequel is also worthy of a platinum plaque.
