In 2019, DC-native El Cousteau began making waves across the east coast with hits like “Feel Good” and “Karrueche”. Rap fans flocked, falling in love with his raw, uncouth, in-your-face style of delivery. Since then, his sound has continuously grown and progressed as he has opened himself up to different melodies. Melodies that can be heard in his most recent single, “Hi LO”. The video, shot and directed by DC-based creative agency MOSHPIT, gives the feels of El Cousteau “jamming out” backstage in the green room by himself before putting on a show for his audience. Based on this release, I can’t wait to see what else El Cousteau has for us this summer. Maybe a new project? Hopefully! It’s been 2 years since he dropped his last tape “UUV A&A Series, Vol. 1.”
