Phobia the Greatest belongs on your Musical Radar after “Moving Too Fast”

Some rap names are so unique that they stay in your memory rent-free. Examples of this are Ski Mask The Slump God, Sueco (the child) or ITSOKTOCRY to list a few of my favorites. Salt Lake City’s own “Phobia the Greatest” has a legendary name with a unique style and energy all her own. She is a trailblazer that draws inspiration from her snowy surroundings with versatility and experimentation taking place with each and every release. “Moving Too Fast” is the perfect example of how Phobia can capture a flow in a trance-like fashion, all while sticking to the theme of her rising from beneath the underground scene. Her vocal presence is reminiscent of Kodie Shane with a melodic delivery like that of iann dior. Phobia also generates a slight punk vibe with her music that can be compared to the great Machine Gun Kelly.

Bright things are on the horizon for Phobia in the upcoming weeks of 2021. She is dropping an EP on April 16 (pre-save link), then a music video the week after on April 23. As her fanbase is beginning to steadily grow, Phobia remains focused on interacting closely with her Instagram and TikTok followers. Her songs can be enjoyed in short spurts as creators have been “moving fast” to create dance videos alongside her catchy choruses.

Ultimately, Phobia the Greatest has captured my attention. Her kind-hearted approach to social media will benefit her in networking further within the music industry. Plus, with a name like that, you know the music is bound to be one-of-a-kind! #staytuned.
