Shordie Shordie & Murda Beatz have completed Music Video Greatness with ”Seattle”

Typically, when words are repeated it is because someone didn’t hear you correctly… In this case, it is because there is a one-of-a-kind artist you need to check out with videos to match every song. “Shordie Shordie,” a rising rap star raised in Baltimore, found none other than the notorious Murda Beatz to leave a lasting impression on the percolating east coast music scene. With the visuals for “Seattle” finally released, they complete the videos made for each track from the groundbreaking “Memory Lane” joint album. The only feature on the project acts as a cosign from the melodic Trippie Redd in “LOVE.” Shordie Shordie has a raspy Akon-like singing ability. His lyrics are emotionally deep like that of 03 Greedo and Rod Wave, with a peppy NBA YoungBoy energy in the mix. This rapper can manifest whatever vibes he wants to channel through song.

Visually, his offerings are laid back and transportive. In Seattle specifically, we receive scenic drone shots, a subtle coca-cola cameo and flashback scenes of the love he raps about. You get a vintage aesthetic with every video he drops, as it feels like you are watching a glitchy yet classic home video. Over the past five months Shordie Shordie seems to have increased his musical and visual production with the help of Warner Records to a whole new level. There are very few artists that accomplish the feat of having music videos for each song on a project.

Ultimately, Shordie Shordie is definitely making a sprint towards the 2021 XXL Freshman List title. It would appear that artists like Coi Leray and Pooh Shiesty are cut from the same cloth this year. Memory Lane is a project literally coated with tracks that showcase his emotional bass bumpers. Be sure to peep all the visuals to match! Seattle is available below. #staytuned
