Rip Loaf is an artist that has been on my radar for quite some time. He has been releasing music for 2 years with records like, “Sorry I’ve Been Up All Night” and “Perfect (2Faced)”. Loaf has been slowly growing a loyal fanbase and finding his own lane. One thing that sticks out in Loaf’s music is his ability to mix alternative hiphop and a blend of electro/hyperpop all together.
The video for “cheat code” was shot in house by Loaf himself and producer pzz. The video off the bat was sick, the whole video was filled with internet culture and plush dolls. The VHS style of the video is something we are seeing more and more in the scene. It is cost efficient and really fits the brand of what type of music these artists are making. This style of shooting video on an old Sony camcorder or a 90’s VX1000 makes the video so much more authentic. The video was fast paced and by the time it was over, I was waiting too see the next clips. The beat of “cheat code” was outstanding, producer pzz has been producing with Loaf from the jump. Rip Loaf is due for a hit, he is right there. Expect to see him everywhere 2021.
