Koi has easily been one of my favorite artists for a couple years now. It’s really amazing to see how far he’s come, starting off with tracks such as “desperate”, “i can promise you that” & “i miss you” which even now, still hold up impressively well in comparison to his more recent music. To now, collaborating with big pages such as Overcast, and slowly becoming one of the best in the underground scene.
After recently getting his car broken into and his laptop stolen, the Los Angeles artist was forced to start from scratch. Now only a couple months later, we’re here with his new 8 track EP, “10&2” featuring hit songs such as “big”, “better”, “indica” w/ Jaxx and much more! Within the project, you get exactly what you’d expect from Koi. His catchy lyrics and melodies blend perfectly with the bouncy instrumentals, leaving each new song stuck in your head, making you want to come back for just one more listen.
Seeing his recent success, there’s no doubt in my mind he’ll soon start to gain some serious attention. I’m really looking forward to the future of Koi, because I have a feeling he’s just getting started. Go stream “10&2” on all major streaming platforms.
