Originating from Manhattan and recently made a move to LA, MIXIE describes her self as a “‘mad-scientist’ renaissance girl for the 21st century – and LGBTQ+ to the bone.” She wears her heart on her sleeve in this latest video that takes the viewer through the trials and tribulations of a relationship and the subsequent drug abuse that could stem from it.
The viewer is given a lens to look into the artist’s heart ache and frustration. Its so clear that she has been through two rough break ups in this scenario and all she wants is the respect and closure she deserves. The song and video are truly powerful and encapsulate the feeling of loss in a visually pleasing way.
But what does the rest of 2024 entail for MIXIE? Well every quarter, she’s going to be releasing EPs with visuals paired to them. MIXIE is a prolific artist that aims to give her listeners ample content to enjoy so be on the lookout for her next release.
