Stans of Sasha, it’s time to rise! Keable-ites, it’s time to unite! The Columbian songstress from South London has returned with her first single in three years. “Hold Up” serves as a psalm for the feelings of post-separation.

On the hook, Sasha expresses that due to the damage caused in past relationships, she will now rely on her own inhibitions and strengths instead of others’. Within her short but sure verses, she goes into deeper detail about the reasons why she feels this way. It’s like a testament to taking back power and control, which I think-as I’ve dived more into Sasha’s career-can have with more than one meaning.

The music video gives us a look into the singer’s current life and environment; like we’re taking a quick walk with her through South London before experiencing where she’s at, musically. The scenes are carefully directed to evoke the feelings of freedom one can feel after a breakup.

The return is a strong one for Sasha Keable, and leaves supporters hopeful for what else is to come. Her voice continuing to pleasurably fill the soulful, yet triumphant instrumentation, like water into a glass. All to the perfect level in order to quench her own thirst for true fulfillment, and also her supporters thirst for new tunes. This song deserves to be played on loop while her next offering is anticipated.
