Loco The Kidd released his song “Another Gray Sky (premonitions)” three months ago, and it deserves more recognition. Loco is an artist who’s been releasing music while still in High School for the past couple of years and is from Pittsburgh. In his latest song, Loco showcases that he’s not your average rapper who has raw potential and actual talent in music making.
Loco decided to hop on top of a boom-bap beat from Lucas Quinn with a grand piano melody and sample. He tackles this conventional production with confidence and delivers an outstanding performance. You’d think he wouldn’t be able to do such things since Loco is so young and early in his career. Still, he proves them wrong and puts doubters in shambles with “Another Gray Sky (premonitions).”
If you compare this song to his previous one, “Stargazing,” you’ll notice the polar opposite production styles Loco selected. If you dive even deeper, you’ll understand that he’s confident no matter what kind of beat he hops on. Usually, it takes a long time for an artist to become comfortable and gain confidence in front of the mic. Still, Loco had a natural gift for doing so.
Loco is putting on for the underrated sound coming out of the Pittsburgh area and deserves way more recognition than he’s receiving. You can check out the rest of his discography here and follow him on Instagram here.
