Kiree 3600 has been experiencing some adversity, and it can be felt all across his newest 9-track offering, Frozen Heart, which came this March. The emcee treats the booth like a psychiatric session and “Drowning”, which arrives at the halfway point, finds Kiree in the pit of the pressure. Adversity can often lead to isolation, and this feeling is conveyed visually through the brand new music video (shot by Rare Cinematic on location at OnlyVSN Studios in Newport News, Virginia). Conceptually, filming at one location can signify Kiree’s search for stability. He can be seen alone, smoking the stress away while sitting in a room covered in newspapers, which could be a sign of all the trying tidings he seeks to soar out of.
One thing I know about people from where this artist is from, is that they are resilient. They know how to make something out of what seems like nothing, or as some say, they “make something shake.” Kiree 3600’s most recent project is, to me, a step in the direction of diamonds being extracted from life’s moments of pressure.
