Jorjiana Tastefully Affirms Herself On “Wok Sauce”

So…14k views in 4 hours. 97k views in 2 days. It’s safe to say Jorjiana is one of the underground’s hottest right now. Like a best kept secret because of how little music she has out – which speaks to her impact. Her breakout single and music video, “Turn You Up” featuring fellow newcomer 1900Rugrat (currently on tour with BossMan Dlow) has amassed 1.5 million views in counting. I – like many others, I assume – discovered Jorjiana via TikTok, coming across one of her videos rapping along to an unreleased or newly released track. Her look: unique. Her voice: distinct. Her style: unconventional. Her beat selection: good. Her delivery and content: smooth, laid back, and authentic to herself and her life.

Learning more about her through interviews and personal opinions shared through her own TikTok videos, one can conclude that Jorjiana comes from very humble beginnings, she is down to earth, has a sense of humor, and is very aware and grateful for what her music has blessed her with thus far.

Jorjiana was recently featured in Audiomack’s “You Need To Hear” new artist spotlight campaign.

The next three songs to do well for her were “Deleting Pictures” (with fellow Floridian Loe Shimmy), “Elevator Spaghetti”, and “ILBB2” (which led to two remixes, one with BabyChiefDoIt and the other with GloRilla).

This week, Jorjiana dropped “Wok Sauce” with some new visuals, too. The instrumental takes smooth, R&B elements and adds uptempo percussion to create an infection beat for Jorjiana to comfortably glide across. Her lyrics hit like personal affirmations as she utilizes the “punch-in method” where no writing is involved and each bar is recorded atop the last, giving space for new thoughts with every line.

The music video is one of her best so far, in my opinion. The framing, the cuts and edits, and the behind the scenes footage shown all help to bring this moment together. Also, toward the end of the visual, clips of Jorjiana on stage with GloRilla can be seen, which act as a cherry on top of an already great sequence.

Here’s some of my favorite lines from the single:

“I said I don’t cheat but I might”

“I’m paid in full, not to mention / I came from the bottom, now I’m winning”

“He ain’t smart, but his brain okay”
