KIREE 3600 – “DEM BOYZ” (FT. VOGUE ICY)

Summer is ending while the east coast scene steadily heats up.

As most of us are taking time to soak up the last rays of summer sun, the music scene in Virginia is continuing to warm up. From local to global, I can confidently say that there’s something [more] in the water. Kiree 3600 and Vogue Icy have come to make additions to the mix. The pair have been providing bangers together for over five years now (“Internet Racks” and their “Part” Series 1-4).

This collaboration comes on the tail of Kiree’s “Box Em” mixtape (February 2024) and Vogue Icy’s “LISTEN CLOSE” single (May 2024). The track’s production is from Kiree’s palette of inspiration, with a head-bopping bounce straight out of the south. He takes on the hook and first verse, setting up Vogue Icy’s opportunity to shine with his Sosa-style of flow on the second verse.

A stylish video was released along with “DEM BOYZ”, filmed and edited by DeddyMoBucks. The location stands out, as it is a landmark in the Hampton Roads district of Virginia. More memorably, the Virginia Beach Oceanfront and its surrounding areas are the grounds on which Pharrell Williams‘ annual Something In The Water festival is held. Back in August of 2023, Kiree performed along with other local acts at the 24th Street Park stage during the 3-day event.

Personally, I enjoy when these two work together. They’re friends in real life and the chemistry built over the years between them is ever present in the music they make. Stay tuned for what more Kiree 3600 and Vogue Icy have in store, individually and in partnership.
