With production from Working on Dying’s F1lthy, LUCKI equates his drug use with the height of his stardom and his ability to stay relevant after putting out projects for eight years. Much of the song is also peppered with lyrics shouting out his home city.
“Vroom vroom down Lakeshore that’s me, 290 boy but they love me at East, Skyway Tollway just for the drink,” LUCKI raps.
Lakeshore and 290 are both highways that run through Chicago and the reference to Skyway Tollway is a reference to paying a toll on the way to Chicago just for some lean.
“Neptune v.s Industry” comes as the lead single to LUCKI and F1lthy’s collaborative project Wake Up Lucki. LUCKI’s last project featured the standout “Faith” which currently sits at over 5 million streams on Spotify.
