Arizona rapper AskeBaby is Grateful on his new release with Mark Battles

Tucson-based rapper AskeBaby blessed our SoundClouds a few days ago after dropping his newest single Grateful ft. Mark Battles (Prod. CountedByChris). Rapping over an incredible sample vocal and a hypnotic trap beat, the pair exchanges verses spanning over a tight two-minute track. Laced with a booming 808, Mark Battles opens up the track with perfect opening bars:

“Getting back in the swing of things.

I done seen some things,

Label me the king of kings.

And I’m focused on completing dreams.

Talk slick catch a clip, no deleted scenes.”

Referring to the grind that he went through to get to where he is today, Battles has been chasing and catching his dreams since way back before dropping Walking Distance in 2012.

Coming in with the second verse, the kid from Arizona snaps. Finding his own voice and style, AskeBaby brings an incredible energy and brings his best bars out for the track. Flexing and talking about the big work that he has been doing, he raps:

“Work ethic is untouched I’m getting reps up.

I was working you was sleeping, now who next up?

Did more shows in a month than what you did this year.

A lot of niggas dying so we ’bout to live this year.”

Plotting on his come up, AskeBaby has made a name for himself already in the underground. Coming from AZ and racking up several thousand plays from his music, he has been putting all the right groundwork to ensure success in the industry. Dripping with sauce as he spits his verse on Grateful, I am looking forward to everything that he has in store for us in the future. Be sure to check out his library and be on the lookout for his new heat. Don’t sleep on Arizona!
